imagine my surprise when, thanks to volunteers transcribing cemetery records, I was able to find Eddie Howard's tombstone. It included his picture. I am so thankful to the many volunteers who dedicate their time and talents, so we can find our family. Eddie was the son of Monroe Howard and Nancy Renfro. Eddie died in 1923, this was confirmed in a letter from Aunt Susie. He is buried in the Manilla Cemetery, Manila, Mississippi, AR Cemetery.
Is he alive or dead? Thomas Dorsey married Annie/Anna Clark, sister to Charles Clark, Father of Mamie who married Joseph Morgan.

I remember when I told Dad about Jesse West. He called his Sister, Viola, and she said, "Terrell, we were told never to talk about it" When Dad went with Aunt Iva to Texas, for Aunt' Iva's 50th class reunion, she saw postcards about the lynching and got so excited. She was showing the cards and telling the clerk that she was related to West. Dad said she was quite excited about it
